Donal O’Dwyer, BEng., MBA

Donal was appointed as a Director of the AtCor Group in September 2004 and became its Chairman in November 2004. He has extensive experience in the medical devices and cardiovascular sectors, having previously been worldwide president of Cordis Cardiology, the cardiology division of Johnson & Johnson.
Other directorships include Cochlear Ltd., Mesoblast Ltd. and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Ltd.
Duncan Ross, BS
Managing Director and CEO
Duncan joined AtCor Medical as President in May 2006 and was subsequently appointed CEO and a Director of the AtCor Group in November 2006. He has more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences and medical devices industries. Before joining AtCor, Duncan was Group President of Fisher Scientific, and also held senior roles with Sysmex America and Baxter Healthcare.
Michael O’Rourke, A.M., MD, DSc.
Michael is a co-founder of AtCor and has been a Director since the company’s inception in 1993. He is also the inventor of the technology on which SphygmoCor is based and remains one of the world’s leading experts in the field of cardiovascular physiology and medicine. He is co-author of the standard reference textbook McDonald’s Blood Flow in Arteries, has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles and serves on the editorial boards of the journals Hypertension, Journal of Hypertension, American Journal of Hypertension and Journal of American Society of Hypertension.
Michael is a director of the Victor Chang Foundation.
R. King Nelson, BA, MBA

King was elected to the Board in November 2015. He brings more than 30 years of diverse experience and expertise with medical devices. He is currently President and CEO of Uptake Medical Corporation, a company focused on treatments for emphysema and lung cancer. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Kerberos Proximal Solutions, which was acquired by FoxHollow Technologies, and as president and CEO of VenPro, a heart valve business acquired by Medtronic. Both these companies specialized in devices for the cardiovascular system. Prior to that, he spent 19 years with Baxter International and American Hospital Supply Corporation in roles of increasing responsibility that included division president for Dade Diagnostics, Bentley Labs, and Baxter’s Perfusion Services.
David Brookes, MBBS, FACRRM, FAICD

David became a Director in November 2008. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and currently works as a general medical practitioner with extensive experience in rural Australia, especially in paediatric and procedural practice. David is also an experienced company director and is currently the Non-executive Chairman of Reproductive Health Sciences Ltd.
Peter Manley, BBus, CPA, ACIS

Peter was appointed to the position of Company Secretary in March 2005. He also holds the position of Chief Financial Officer. Before joining AtCor Medical Holdings Limited, he was Company Secretary and CFO for Sirtex Medical Ltd, a publicly-listed medical device company. Prior to this, he held financial positions in a variety of large Australian and foreign-owned corporations.
